I rented a unit on your website when can I move in?

Once you finish signing up online you will receive an email with the code to remove the lock on your unit, at that point you can visit our facility at 103 Lurty Ave., Hattiesburg, MS 39401 and move into your unit.

What do I need to bring with me when I come in to rent a unit?

What are my storage options?

Please view the rent storage page to view the different storage unit sizes we have available. Each of these units has drive-up access and an overhead light.

What if I select the wrong size unit?

If you need to make a change after looking at your unit or at a later date, it's easy. Contact us and we can conveniently increase or decrease your unit size at any time (subject to availability).

Can I come look at a unit before renting?

If you would like to see some of our available units before renting you can call us and we will find a time that works to meet you at the facility.

What are your security features?

We offer 24/7 surveillance video covering all angles of our facility as well as outdoor lighting on all of our buildings.

Do you provide locks? Do I need to provide a lock when I rent a unit?

Do you have climate control in your storage units?

We do not offer any climate control storage units.

Can I rent a unit at any time?

Yes, you can rent a unit through our website at any time of the day, any day of the week. After completing the online signup process you will be given a code to access your unit.

Can I rent a unit any day of the month?

Yes, rental months are the 1st day through the last day of the month. Mid-City Storage will automatically pro-rate your first month's rent.

Can my company use your facility's units for business related items?

Yes, we have a number of businesses who rent one or more storage units in order to store supplies such as trailers, tools, equipment and other materials that they use on the job. Our storage units are also great for storing back-up equipment, files, and various other documents. Our convenient storage units make for a great warehouse facility for small business owners who want to reduce overhead – which allows your office to actually have more space in the end.

What is a storage unit with drive-up access?

A drive-up storage unit is an outside space located on the first floor of a facility that gives you the ability to load and unload your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck. All of the units at Mid-City Storage offer drive-up access.

BILLING

Is there an administrative fee?

We do not charge any administrative fees at Mid-City Storage.

Is there a security deposit?

We do not require a security deposit to rent from Mid-City Storage.

How can I pay for my storage unit?

We accept credit/debit cards or your checking account via ACH.

Can I pay my storage unit bill online?

Yes, you can pay online using a credit/debit card or your checking account via ACH.

What day will my rent be due?

Rent is due on or before the 1st day of the month.

Are there any late fees?

A $10 late fee will be charged if the rent is later than the 10th of the month and a second $10 late fee will be charged if the rent is later than the 25th of the month.

What are the payment terms?

We want to make your payment process as easy as possible. We offer the convenience of Recurring Billing, which will automatically charge your Mastercard®, Discover®, Visa®, or American Express® without additional fees.

Will I receive a monthly invoice?

If you have an email address you will be emailed a reminder that your rent is due soon. If you have chosen the recurring billing option, your credit card will be automatically charged on your due date and you can disregard the notice.

How much notice do I need to give you before moving out?

A 30-day notice is required. At the time of your move-out just remove your lock when you are done clearing out your space sweep it out with a broom and dustpan then give us a call at (601) 584-7448 to let us know you have vacated your unit.

Can I pay for my storage unit month-to-month?

Yes, we rent our units on a month-to-month basis unless the customer wants a long term lease.

ACCESS

When can I access my unit?

You can move-in and access your storage unit at Mid-City Storage any day, any time, 24/7.

What are your office hours?

We are available via phone 8am-6pm M-F, and 9am-2pm on Saturdays, we are closed on Sundays. You do not need to call us to rent a unit, you can rent a unit and move-in any day, any time.

How do I get my belongings to my space?

Our units are one level and offer the convenience of drive-up access.

What if I lose the key to my lock?

Please contact us so we can meet you at your unit and cut the lock off for you. Do NOT attempt to cut the lock off yourself as any damage to the door/lock will be your responsibility. There is a $50 lock cut fee for this service.

Does anyone else have access to my unit?

You alone control access to your storage unit, unless YOU choose to give someone else access. If you do give someone else access to your unit, it's important that you provide us their names. You are responsible for your unit and the surroundings, if the person you have given access to damages or causes any problems at the facility, you will be responsible.
